[edit] U.S. Capitol shooting incident (1954)

My only source for Sen. Clifford Davis being one of the wounded in the cpital shooting incident is the wiki page... U.S. Capitol shooting incident (1954). It says he was shot in the leg. I felt it significant enough to also put the data on Sen. Davis' biographical page.

[edit] follow up to early comments about being pre-qaulified to submit on Wikipedia

you wrote once: I have now been voted admin "powers", which I did not seek and intend to use very judiciously. (So far they have been used mainly to revert vandalism, an inherent problem in a project of this nature, but something of a necessary evil — if everyone had to be "prequalified" to contribute or edit, we would have missed out on some of the best material in Wikipedia.) I see adminship as being something of a recognition that Wikipedia is now my main hobby.

I disagree. In lieu of the "Flame Wars" that are now occurring with much frequency on Wikipedia between controbutors, editors and administrators.

I am putting together a proposal for Wiki founder Jimmy Wales to put together a new materials or submissions committee as well as a committee that screens all edits and changes. This will prevent "Flame Wars" on Wikipedia as well as keep NY TIMES, DELL and politicians from editing their own entries.

I admire your zeal in wishing to be a part of the Wiki family but as an editor I am sick and tored of the "Flame Wars," the arbitrary blocking of ISP's, arbitrary deletion of user pages and Wiki administrators not following established Wiki protocols but excercising their personal will- not Wiki established Wiki rules.

[edit] Template:Dominionism

As you participated in the prior TfD, I thought you would be interested that it has been proposed for deletion once again. You can find the discussion here. SkierRMH 02:46, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Life and Casualty Insurance Company of Tennessee

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Life and Casualty Insurance Company of Tennessee, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Life and Casualty Insurance Company of Tennessee seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Life and Casualty Insurance Company of Tennessee, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Speedy deletion of U.S. Security Associates

A tag has been placed on U.S. Security Associates, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mr. P. S. Phillips (talk) 20:07, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Ultimate Challenge

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Ultimate Challenge, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Pastordavid (talk) 19:00, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bryan College Wiki Site

Hello rlquall, I'm a student at Bryan College and I'm trying to update the Bryan wiki page to make it more accurate and complete in its information. But I want to make sure I don't appear biased toward the school in any of my postings. I saw that you have posted on the talk page for Bryan College and wondered if you had any interest in keeping an eye on my edits and letting me know via the talk page if I write anything that seems biased towards the college. My goal is to write a purely informational encyclopedia entry with good sources and references. Thanks! David Beisner (talk) 15:35, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
