You changed "dispence" to "dispense", but "dispence" was a quotation from 17th century English. I am doubtful that it would be sensible to add "[sic]", because one would also have to add "[sic]" to two other words in the same sentence ("alloweing" and "hee"). I have accordingly reverted the change. Hope that's OK. 45ossington (talk) 13:43, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Apologies, I've added a [sic] as a comment after the quote so even careless people like me should know not to change the quoted text. Thanks Rjwilmsi (talk) 18:32, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Asking for help on WiKUpedia project
Hi Rjwilmsi,
My name is Jarrod and I'm currently working on a project called WiKUpedia, with the goal of providing the one-stop shop for all things KU. We've had a tremendous response from the community since we went live on Sunday but we need help organizing and improving the wiki. We decided to reach out to experienced Wikipedia editors working on the WikiProject: Kansas. You can read a little more about our project in a news story in the Lawrence Journal World
Please feel free to take a look around our project and if this sounds like something that interests you, please respond on my talk page or by email. Thank you so much in advance. Jarrodm (talk) 04:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Since I live about 7000 km from Kansas I will decline, but thanks for the offer. Rjwilmsi (talk) 18:36, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Misspelling
You just corrected this correct spelling to a misspelling: [1]. I've reverted the edit, but you might want to go back over you edits and make sure it didn't happen again. Dmcdevit·t 22:05, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Apologies, I've removed the incorrect entry from the typo list. Thanks Rjwilmsi (talk) 22:44, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

On this edit I can understand fixing a typo, but do you have some sort of script error that then messed up the picture formating? Thanks. Aboutmovies (talk) 19:29, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- The AWB general fixes do things like clean up image tags, but there seems to be a bug - I've filed a bug report and will disable the general fixes until the issue is resolved. I may have to see if other edits I've made have been affected. Thanks Rjwilmsi (talk) 19:43, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. Aboutmovies (talk) 19:45, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Species name capitalization
Hi Rjwilmsi! Thanks for correcting some capitalization errors in a few of our bird lists recently. However, please be careful when updating scientific names using AWB! Scientific (AKA Latin) names are always listed in genus/species order: i.e. Canus domesticus is the scientific name for dogs. Canus is the genus name, and domesticus is the specific name. The combination of the two names is the scientific name for the species we know as dog. Please note that the specific name should always be lower case. So if you make it upper case, as you did in List of birds of Angola, where you updated the Brown Skua's scientific name to be Stercorarius Antarctica rather than Stercorarius antarctica, you're introducing an error. This goes for any species' scientific name, not just those of birds. Thanks again for your efforts, and I hope this clarifies things a bit! : ) MeegsC | Talk 12:46, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- My apologies, I make these errors once in a while. I've tagged the Latin names as Latin [2] so I won't make that incorrect change again. Thanks Rjwilmsi (talk) 19:05, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Thank You
Thank you for correcting my spelling in the article about Miro Steržaj, because I am new here and come from Slovenia, so I don't know to spell everything correct in English. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Janisterzaj (talk • contribs) 23:07, 28 February 2008 (UTC) --Janisterzaj (talk) 23:09, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
