I have been authoring HTML since 1993, CSS since 1997 and JavaScript since 1998. In 1983 after seeing "War Games" and along with my interest in Ham Radio, it wasn't long before I had a modem on my computer and I was on BBSs and connecting to other totally legit places. I took my first spins around the Internet in 1986. Some of my first Internet experiences were using Gopher and FTP to get set lists for Grateful Dead shows. I surfed the new Worldwide Web in the early `90's on a VAX/VMS mainframe system, and then with Mosaic and eventually Netscape on 386 and 486 machines. What a long strange Internet trip!

I presently work as a Software Architect/Engineer for a major credit card company near Chicago and I teach information systems subjects part-time at the collegiate level. By way of education, I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications and a Master's degree in Information Systems Management. I am the author of several popular lists on Amazon.com of the best Dreamweaver books, the best CSS books and the best JavaScript books. I enjoy mentoring anyone who needs help or wants suggestions for finding tutorials or learning resources.
