[edit] Ferret Page

Why did you change the qutoe from the past NYC mayor from weasel to ferret. That is a direct quote(I do not agree with him though). Changing it will make it not what was said in the media and not what belongs in that section. NordicFire 19:19, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I just listened to the recording here. [1] (scroll to about 2:00 in). It's ferret. RJaguar3 | u | t 02:28, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

--Crap, Thanks I could of sworn it to be weasel. NordicFire 19:39, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

He does later repeat the same line (or something like that) with "weasel." But given that the article is about ferrets, I think the ferret quote would be better for the article. RJaguar3 | u | t 02:41, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AIV report

Thank you for making a report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. The issue here is that we generally don't block IP addresses unless there's a lot of vandalism after recent warnings. Anyway, thanks for the effort. Keep up the counter-vandalism!--Chaser - T 05:50, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Is there a general rule of thumb for how long ago a final warning has to have been in order to be "recent"? RJaguar3 | u | t 06:02, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 251

Hah, nicely done :-)--Cronholm144 04:35, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

In an unrelated note. What maths class are you in?--Cronholm144 04:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I've finished taking multivariable calculus, real analysis, and linear algebra (at my local community college). RJaguar3 | u | t 04:43, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

My my, impressive. You will have a nice head start in college (I assume you will be going for a PhD). DiffEQs are the next logical step. (Complex analysis is fun too.) Have you considered joining WP:WPM?--Cronholm144 04:52, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Not yet. I'll go and do that right now. Thanks. RJaguar3 | u | t 04:54, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Be sure to mention that to Daniel, otherwise you will be rejected outright. (with your en.wiki editcount that is)--Cronholm144 14:36, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Didn't know that. Anyways, like Cronholm said, you'll want to leave him a note saying that. RJaguar3 | u | t 14:43, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shane McMahon Profile

Shane McMahon's WWE Profile was deleted from the WWE website.

I see. I've undone my edit. Next time, if you delete something, please leave a note in the edit summary stating the reason for deleting the content. It could be something simple, like "rm dead link". This way, we can avoid another misunderstanding. RJaguar3 | u | t 18:39, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User:BoxCrawler

[edit] Wheel of Fortune vowels

I don't want to get into an edit war, so I'm not reverting your revert, but "cwm" is not an English word, and the vowel in "bow" is "O". The show's rules specify that Y is a consonant, but they don't mention W, probably because it never occurred to them that they would have a puzzle with "cwm" in it. :) JTRH 16:23, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

See here for "cwm". I agree, it's kind of a moot point, and the abridged copy of the rules does only specify "Y", so you do have a point. I wouldn't mind if you reverted it. RJaguar3 | u | t 19:27, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] David Ortiz

I did not provide or post any information about David Ortiz. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.168.82.174 (talk) 17:46, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

You edited History of baseball in the United States. Your edit changed Mark McGwire to David Ortiz. While Mark McGwire has been suspected of using steroids, David Ortiz's article makes no mention of steroids. RJaguar3 | u | t 00:03, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Greetings!

Your edits popped up on my watchlist, and I thought I recognized the username, so I thought I would stop by and bid greetings to the great G^2. I was one of your very temporary former coaches for a tournament in Florida circa 6/07. I was the one that didn't hail from Moline. LonelyBeacon (talk) 18:29, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] add back the shirt links

yes it is not ebay, but people want to get shirts from the show and the links help them find them. it's not for the stores, it's for the fans... reconsider. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.45.84.52 (talk) 08:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

No I won't reconsider. Here's why:
  1. Wikipedia has a policy that strongly discourages these types of links.
  2. Wikipedia is not intended to be eBay. I do appreciate that some fans might want shirts, but that's why eBay is there. Adding such commercial links is spam and unencyclopedic.
  3. If anything else, fans can Google search and come up with links to these sites.
But thanks for discussing with me. RJaguar3 | u | t 03:18, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Sports entertainment / Legends of the Hidden Temple

Well, the thing about "sports entertainment" is that it doesn't necessarily have to be a sport. It's usually highly theatric entertainment that centers around competition with sporting elements (and not necessarily outright athletics).

From what I remember of the show, I think it would fit, but I also might be confusing it with something else. Check out the descriptions on the sports entertainment page and lemme know what you think. TravelingCat (talk) 03:43, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

I just read the article, and I'm still inclined to say that Legends is not sports entertainment. While there were many physical challenges during the show, that wasn't the focus. Rather, the main point of the show was for the teams to engage in a historical/mythological quest, not to perform various sporting activities (like Nickelodeon GUTS). Something like GUTS would be a closer fit to sports entertainment. Furthermore, nearly every Nickelodeon game show had physical activity to some extent, and I wouldn't want to have to classify shows like Double Dare and Make the Grade as "sports entertainment." [edit] Happy First Day of Spring!

[edit] College of DuPage

The article has been gutted and cleaned up pretty well, in my opinion. Do you agree with removing the POV tag? Tool2Die4 (talk) 19:41, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Me likey. I gutted a lot more original research (unpublished synthesis of original ideas). Let me know what you think of my edit. RJaguar3 | u | t 03:01, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Works for me. Good job. Tool2Die4 (talk) 10:39, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] the hidden temple team images (animals)

They were all stolen by the message board user (from the forum) from HiddenTempleTees.com without permission and then used on this wikipedia site without permission. Although the user claims to have made the images himself, the artist recreations were designed for HiddenTempleTees.com in early 2007. Please remove the images or give credit to the HiddenTempleTees.com website right away. Thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.45.84.52 (talk) 17:37, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

After checking the site, I agree. I just sent MyPartyShirts.com (the owner of the site) an e-mail via their contact form essentially acknowledging the fact and stating that they would have to license those renderings of the images under the GFDL in order for them to be used on Wikipedia. (I apologize for not having the exact text, since Internet Explorer, like any Microsoft product, crashed right in the middle of going here to post what I had written in the contact form.) That being said, since I did not visit the site before, and I had no reason to doubt Piranesi's claim that he created the images himself. I apologize for any inconvenience. [edit] Get the Picture on Nick GAS

Well, Get the Picture has been at 1pm ET/12pm CT for 4 years, at 4pm ET/3pm CT for more than 2 years & 3am ET/2am CT for more than 3 years on Nick GAS and now it will be replaced with any show that is on(Nickelodeon GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Arcade, Figure It Out & Double Dare 2000) or other show who havent been air in the while like Wild and Crazy Kids, Global GUTS, Finders Keepers, Double Dare, Super Sloppy Double Dare & Family Double Dare. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.230.148.189 (talk) 03:04, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Um, okay... What are you asking of me? RJaguar3 | u | t 10:59, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Hmm... I just talking about Get the Picture on Nick GAS. The Main Reason why Get the Picture is still on GAS it has been at 1-2pm ET/12-1pm CT since April 2004 & It has never been replaced by another show that's currently airing or not been airing.

I know that Get the Picture has been on Nick GAS for an eternity, just like the other shows they're rerun abused like no tomorrow. Did you want to ask me something about Get the Picture or Nick GAS? RJaguar3 | u | t 01:00, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Get the Picture.

All right. I feel comfortable in answering a question. Go ahead and ask me something. RJaguar3 | u | t 22:32, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Legends of the Hidden Temple

I failed the GA nomination for Legends of the Hidden Temple for multiple reasons, mostly the fact that two of the sources (a Geocities cite and a Freewebs site) did not meet the criteria for reliable sources; with these sites removed from the article, more than half of it wound up unreferenced. Furthermore, there was some original research in the footnotes, as well as an overly detailed plot summary (gameplay info). [edit] Your edits to List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon

Hello. While Wikipedia does encourage users to be bold and edit articles, your edits to List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon are construed as edit warring. Please discuss your changes on the talk page rather than reverting the article to your version. Users who continue to revert war may be blocked. Thank you. RJaguar3 | u | t 13:51, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

There has been ample discussion on the topic already. That was not vandalism to the article. There is only one user who persists vandalizing the article by adding un-cited information and air dates, and that's Sarge100 who is creating such an upheaval that it appears that more people are against it, but if you look at the talk page, this user is the only one who wants the article to have un-cited information. Please think things through before you accuse people, luckily I'm very perceptive. 216.70.26.237 (talk) 00:35, 29 May 2008 (UTC)216.70.26.237
