[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Paskal.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Paskal.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:03, 9 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 18:03, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:MALINDO Anti Piracy.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Piracy.jpg. The copy called Image:Piracy.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 05:29, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:RMP PGA.JPG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RMP PGA.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] removing db-tags from articles

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.--Jayron32|talk|contribs 05:56, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

You continue to remove the db- tags from the same article. Please stop that. If you contest the speedy deletion of this article, then add the tag {{hangon}} imediately underneath the db- tag (do NOT remove the db- tag) and make your case on the talk page. Continuing to remove db- tags repeatedly could be seen as being disruptive. --Jayron32|talk|contribs 06:14, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Uploading images unsuitably

You have been warned before to take more care when you are uploading images. Please read the policy on images, and understand it, before uploading anymore. Each image you upload with no rationale will be deleted after a short period of time if one is not provided, and you can be placing wikipedia in legal difficulties. If you continue to upload images without rationales, ones which clearly need them, or images that are clearly unsuitable, you will be blocked. Thankyou SGGH speak! 10:49, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I have gone through all your images, and have deleted those which have had no rationale provided. Removing the template tags from the fair use rationale warnings does not equate to supplying a fair use rationale, and all the images in which you have done that, that I could find, I have deleted. If you cannot provide adequate fair use for the ones you have recently uploaded then, when the time runs out, I will delete them too. You really need to read the fair use guidelines before you upload a single image. You are just ignoring your warnings. If you upload a single image from now on that has no fair use rationale or is otherwise uploaded in violation of policy you will be blocked. Please see this as a final warning SGGH speak! 11:02, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] STI Lawman

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of STI Lawman, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=4CE0001-1115949837. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:17, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Concerning your contribution, STI Lawman, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material without the permission of the author. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=4CE0001-1115949837. As a copyright violation, STI Lawman appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

[edit] Speedy deletion of STI Lawman

A tag has been placed on STI Lawman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Boreas 23:20, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] STI Lawman

A tag has been placed on STI Lawman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.User Doe ☻T ☼C 23:36, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:GGK_Elites_ArmyTeam.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:GGK_Elites_ArmyTeam.jpg.

If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Blaser93 Tactical.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Blaser93 Tactical.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 05:35, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Badge UST.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Badge UST.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. [edit] Spam in Assault Ladder

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Assault Ladder, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Assault Ladder is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Assault Ladder, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:RMP PGA.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:RMP PGA.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:09, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
