[edit] Expanding Saudi Cities
Greetings fellow wikipedians, I seen how other cities' page look like, and I think that all cities should have a page that look like that. So far I added the Infobox template (the box on the right that holds city's information) and the Saudi Arabian cities navagator. We would like for you all to go through the cities and trun it from a stub to a beautiful page. Thank you. --Muhaidib 01:01, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Firefox rendering problems?
Hey there, I use both Internet Explorer 6.0 and Mozilla Firefox, IE renders fine but firefox has some problems, does anyone know how to fix it?

[edit] Population figure
Can someone double check the population figures in this article. The number cited in the first paragraph (over 7 million) looks much too high in my eyes. And worse, it's inconsistent with the population growth graph. - HiJazzey 04:41, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] idea !
could we change the word "Turks" in section of History to the word "Ottomans" , because i believe it been destroyed by "arab" Ottomans by the army of Mohammed Ali Pasha's son .Ammar 17:21, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Did somebody rip the description for Riyadh from a tourist brocures: 'Skyscrapers towering over buildings exuding old-world charm' - please!! Can we please have a page that it is little less sycophantic and a little more neutral. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jinjaa (talk • contribs).
[edit] Tone and neutrality
This article reads badly in some areas like a tourism brochure. Any thoughts from someone with expertise regarding this city? --NMChico24 22:26, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

- I've reworked the "City Districts" section to sound more encyclopedic. The article as a whole though needs some expansion. Slacker 09:45, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wadis
This is incorrect, but I'm not sure how to fix it: With many wadis (former water courses, now dry) in the vicinity, Riyadh has been, since antiquity, a fertile area set in the heartland of the Arabian Peninsula. A wadi is not a "former" water course, it's a river that's dry 99% of the year but floods when it rains hard. But has Riyadh really been a fertile area since antiquity? - What are you disputing exactly? That the area was fertile? Fertility is a quality of the land, and since we know it's fertile now and has been for well over 1500 years, it's safe to say it was fertile for centuries before that. Or are you disputing that the area has been settled since antiquity? It's well known that the area was already settled centuries before Islam. I don't know if that's old enough for your definition of antiquity. Slacker 22:09, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ideas Needed
This article should be much longer than this! There is so much to write about. Too bad I don't write that good. I am willing to contribute anyways.
Please suggest an idea and I will try to write about it and include it in the article. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.182.183.175 (talk) 13:38, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Flag and Coat of Arm of Riyadh
I just visited the page to read info on Riyadh when I saw the flag and coat of arms displayed is saudi arabia's, not the city of riyadh's own flag and coat of arm. does riyadh has its own flag and coat of arms? or is the flag and coat of arms of saudi arabia is the same as riyadh's (due to status of riyadh as the capital city)? w_tanoto (talk) 03:10, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
