- If Riverstone is frequently used in films as a stand-in for country railway stations that should up it from Low. --Garrie 01:26, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Confirmation?
In 1988, as part of a Federal Government programme to commemorate the 200th anniversary of European settlement in Australia, a heritage museum was established in the old Masonic hall in Garfield Road, now open the first Sunday of each month.
According to this website, the museum used to be a school not a Masonic Hall.... anyone know anything better?--Garrie 03:32, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
It's possible it was used as a school at one time, but the main building clearly has "Masonic Hall" written on it! Elekas 07:41, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Railway? Main street?
photos would be nice especially one to back up claim that Riverstone Railway is a good stand-in for a country railway station I'm sure some of you commute past here every day! --Garrie 03:52, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
I've put up a photo of the main street, but I haven't put in one of the railway station cause my photo is pretty shoddy...

Well, I wouldn't be that cruel.... but I guess I see what you mean ;) Thanks for the main street.Garrie 21:12, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] What movies?
Can anyone identify any movies that Riverstone Railway Station has been used in? --Garrie 01:26, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't know if the station itself was used, just the level crossing and the line leading up to it. In "Beneath Clouds" they used Vineyard Station as it looks more "remote". It probably features more in overseas-made commercials, which are often never shown here. Elekas 07:51, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] current developments
If the shopping centre is at Rouse Hill then discussion should be on that aricle, not this one... Garrie 07:21, 31 December 2006 (UTC) If you want to know something about Riverstone, because you've seen ad for a house for sale there or similar, you'd surely want to know that sort of thing. Windsor road isn't part of Riverstone either, but the upgrade to it is certainly of relevance. Elekas 07:56, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Why was the section about McConnell's widow moved? I've put it back where it was since it it hadn't been for her, Riverstone may never have existed as a suburb. OTOH, I'm glad somebody got rid of the irrelevant PC crap about the Aboriginal inhabitants, Blacks town and all that. I'm sure it has its place, but it has nothing to do with Riverstone today. How long it will stay deleted is another question:-)Elekas (talk) 02:12, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

This section is not intended to be a place to dump spam links... rather than placing links for churches and schools it would be better to discuss the organisation in the article!Garrie 05:53, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
