Talk:River journey

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From WP:RfD:

  • River journey → Itrw. Generic article title redirected to a specific meaning. Zoe 19:36, August 14, 2005 (UTC)
    • When you find an inappropriate redirect like this, just redirect it somewhere better, in this case River seems good. No need to involve RfD. Gdr 10:32:52, 2005-08-15 (UTC)
      • I disagree, for a large class of redirects where there target is not closely related to the redirect. Better to have a red link which someone might write an article for, than a redirect to something only vaguely related, as here. In this particular case, an article mentioning that, among other things, Itrw is ancient Egpytian for a term meaning "river journey", which meant a specific trip to the Egyptians, is really called for. I'll get to it in a bit unless someone else does first. Noel (talk) 14:51, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
    • Keep, This should be either a redirect to itrw, or a dab page which lists a "river journy" as a name for itrw, if there are other uses of the term 'river journey" which need referencing. Paul August 20:23, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
