This condo tower project has been under construction since 2002. I have news articles from 2004, 2005, and 2006 all suggesting that construction is "right around the corner". The linked article was from January 2006. The lot where RiverPlace was to be developed has been completely empty for over a year's time. Is this a page candidate for deletion, or should it at least be mentioned that the project appears perpetually stalled-out ? Mattdiez 20:39, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

They've had a lot of setbacks due to hurricanes driving the cost of supplies and materials up. They recently announced that they would begin construction in early 2007. I also passed by a few weeks ago, and it looked as if they had begun clearing the site. I think it should only be deleted if there is an official announcement that construction will not take place, but that seems unlikely as more than half of the condos have been pre-sold already. --Bobster687 21:25, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

I've read the articles about the setbacks, but between, the summer of 2002 (when the Gen Lafayette Inn was torn down) and January of 2007, there has been no construction whatsoever. The place was "half-sold" back in March of 2003. After almost half a decade of "setbacks", it sure sounds like this project is little more than an artist's sketch and a bunch of condo deposits sitting in an interest-accruing bank account. To humor me, can we create a policy that if no construction has begun by January 2008 (which is to say, there is nothing more than an empty gravel lot on the site), we can delete the page? For the record: I wrote that last post exactly six months ago today. It should surprise nobody here that no progress whatsoever has been made on the site. --Mattdiez 12:06, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Six months since the last post. No progress. Five and a half years speculating on an empty lot. Can we delete it? Mattdiez (talk) 15:00, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
