Founded in 1884 to serve as manifesto for the new scientific profession, Rivista Storica Italiana is among the world's top academic reviews and by far the most authoritative historical journal in Italy. Being devoted to the study of all the major fields of history, from ancient to modern, in a regional as well as a global perspective, it is published in Italian three times a year (in Spring, Summer and Winter).
