Riverview High School (RHS) is a high school in Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada that was founded in September 1962 starting with two Grade 10 classes. Prior to that date Grades 10 through 12 from the then community of Riverview Heights attended Moncton High School. From its beginnings until 1978, the high school was located at 92 Devere Road.
In 1978 a new facility was opened on an 18-hectare site about two kilometres west of the old school (which became a middle school and which continues to function). The new school has a swimming pool, auditorium and cafeteria, features the old school did not possess. In 2006 the auditorium began conversions to permit it to operate independently for community use. The school colours are red and white, and the mascot is a lion.
Apart from standard English, Math and Sciences the school also offers students courses in Canadian Literature, Canadian History, Canadian Geography, Media Studies/Production. The school also features a co-op work program for year 12 students. Students in the Entrepreneurship program run the school store, The Royalty Shop, which sells school shirts and other RHS Merchandise.
Over the years the school has contributed numerous persons of renown in the local, provincial, and national arenas, including at least one Rhodes Scholar.
RHS School Song
Of our school it is said when we wear the white and red
That we're proud of the colours we show
To our games, home and far we are proud of who we are
So we always let the other team know.
So it's rah rah hooray, we'll back our school today
We'll sing out the cheers loud and clear (Loud And Clear!)
Wherever we go... we're sure they'll always know
That our school never once thought of fear.
Of our teams we are proud, so we back them with a crowd
To help them come out on top
Through the thick and the thin, we always wear a grin
And we're sure that the others will stop.
