Riversdale, Maryland (historic site)

A listed National Historic Landmark, Riversdale is a five-part, Federal style mansion built between 1801 and 1807. Riversdale is located at 4811 Riverdale Road in Riverdale Park, Maryland. Once the centerpeice of a 739-acre plantation, the manor house was begun by Henri Stier, a Flemish aristocrat and noted art collector who left the home to be completed by his daughter, Rosalie, and her husband, George Calvert, grandson of the fifth Lord Baltimore.
