River Valley Primary School (Abbreviation: RVPS) is a co-educational primary school in River Valley, Singapore. It is a government school which bears no affiliation to any other schools. The younger siblings of current students are given priority for entry. Currently, a sizable amount of the student population consists of foreigners. The school is also on Ministry of Education's list of top 30 popular primary schools for admission of foreign students (1999). The school consistently achieved good results in Primary School Leaving Examination as well as P3 Screening Examination in the past years.

River Valley Primary School was established in 1985 when three primary schools, River Valley Chinese, River Valley English and Kim Seng merged to form one school with a pupil enrolment of 1700.However, the pupil enrollment steadily declined to 1260 in 1995 due to demographic changes and lack of facilities. Between 1996 and 2000, the pattern of falling enrollment was reversed and the present enrollment stands at 1430.

The school uniform for girls consists of a white short sleeved blouse worn beneath a blue pinafore. The school uniform for boys consists of a white short sleeved shirt tucked into short blue trousers. The school badge and name tag is sewn onto the left of the shirt/pinafore. The physical education attire consists of a white sleeveless shirt and blue shorts.

- Has also seen the movement of many Chinese teachers away from the school

Be yourself day: held every two years, students are encouraged to dress up in a variety of costumes according to a given theme.
P5 Bazaar: Held every year, the current cohort of students in primary five will have to create products to sell to their peers and the public.
Sports day/Sports carnival: Either of these events will be held, and students participate in various running events.
