River Ryburn

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The River Ryburn flows roughly eastwards from the Pennines through West Yorkshire, England. It flows through the villages of Rishworth, Ripponden and Triangle before flowing into the River Calder at Sowerby Bridge.

Its upper reaches run in parallel with the M62 motorway. Anyone driving along the high section of this motorway past the farm house between the carriageways will see a dam on the Ryburn just below the motorway.
