The Owenroe River or Moynalty River (Irish: An Abhainn Rua, meaning red river) rises from Mullagh Lough in County Cavan and flows southeast through Mullagh and Moynalty before joining the River Boyne east of Kells. The Boyne discharges into the Irish Sea at Drogheda.
