River Hill High School is a public high school in Clarksville, Maryland. It is part of the Howard County public school system. It is one of the two former Technology Magnet schools in Howard County, along with Long Reach High School.[1] It currently participates in the county wide Career Academy initiative as a replacement to the magnet program.
The school borders the boundaries of several other Howard County Schools in including Glenelg High School, Marriotts Ridge High School, Wilde Lake High School, Atholton High School, and Reservoir High School.[1]

River Hill High School opened in 1997. The school population peaked in 2002 with 1,755 students, but has steadily declined, though several other high schools have opened in Howard County to ease the population strain on the existing schools.

River Hill High School enrolls students from a wide variety of communities, including the planned community of Columbia, Maryland, and the rural/suburban areas surrounding Clarksville. Its population is culturally diverse, with a majority of the student body enrolled in college preparatory and technology courses.
River Hill has a comprehensive program with offerings in college preparatory, business, technological and special programs for learning disabled students. Recognizing the difference in students' abilities, needs and goals, the curriculum is designed to provide all students the opportunity to achieve their greatest potential.
Student performance on the high school assessments places River Hill among the highest in the state. Student participation in the advanced placement testing program also places this school among the top high schools in the nation.

- River Hill Marching Band received a Nation Champion title in Division 3 with the USSBA
- River Hill was recently named a National Blue Ribbon School, one of only 40 high schools to receive that honor.
- Former and current physical education teachers Earl Lauer and Brandon Lauer were selected into the MPSSAA Wrestling Hall of Fame. They are the first father and son to be inducted.
