River Cess (sometimes spelled Rivercess) is one of Liberia's 15 counties. The county has an area of 4,385 square kilometres (1,693 square miles).[1] According to a United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation report, the county has an estimated population of 39,159,[2] compared to an estimated 15,000 in 1996 in the aftermath of the First Liberian Civil War.[3] River Cess is the county's capital.
The current superintendent of River Cess County is Francis Paye.[4]
