Ritchie Pettibone was an NFL player and coach. He played for the Chicago Bears and eventually became Head Coach for the Washington Redskins in 1993. He had been a successful Head Defensive Coordinator for the Washington Redksins for many winning seasons, including Super Bowl victories. He started his season as head coach with an impressive 35-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, but the season ended with the Redskins posting a 4-12 record. Pettibone was replaced by Norv Turner. (source ESPN website)
