Rita Owens is the mother of Rapper, Singer And Actress Queen Latifah. In Addition to being best known as Queen Latifah's mother, she also had a recurring role on her daughter hit sitcom Living Single where she played Rita James, the mother of her daughter's character, Khadijah James.
