Rita Jeptoo

Rita Jeptoo Sitienei (born 15 February 1981 in Eldoret) is a Kenyan marathon runner.
She won the Stockholm Marathon, her first marathon race,[1] and the Milan City Marathon[2] in 2004, finished third in the 2005 Turin Marathon,[3] seventh at the 2005 World Championships, and won the bronze medal at the 2006 World Road Running Championships. Her personal best time is 2:23:38 hours, achieved when she won the 2006 Boston Marathon. In 2007, she finished fourth, attempting to defend her title, and was quoted as saying, "I never felt good in the cold. I couldn't get my body in a rhythm."[4]
She is married to Noah Busienei, a middle distance runner.[5]
