Rising Starr Middle School

Rising Starr Middle School is a Georgia Lighthouse School to Watch located in unincorporated Fayette County, Georgia. It is governed by the Fayette County School System.
The school serves southern Peachtree City and was named Best School for Your Kid in Atlanta magazine, 2006 and 2007.
The head principal at the school is Ms. Lenore Patton.
Rising Starr Middle School won the Science Olympiad national championship in 2002.

The band is known throughout the country as the "best middle school band". Steve Tyndall, the director, makes a commitment to excellence in everything they do. In 2006, the band was invited to the Music for All National festival, normally for high school bands, as one of the first two middle school band ever to be invited.
