Rio Rico Southeast is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Cruz County, Arizona, United States. The population was 1,590 at the 2000 census.

Rio Rico Southeast is located at 31°26′57″N, 110°56′45″W (31.449089, -110.945810)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.1 square miles (28.6 km²), all of it land.

According to a City of Nogales transportation map, the area where Rio Rico Southeast is located has been or is slated to be annexed into the City of Nogales.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,590 people, 415 households, and 385 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 143.7 people per square mile (55.5/km²). There were 439 housing units at an average density of 39.7/sq mi (15.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 62.33% White, 0.50% Black or African American, 0.13% Asian, 34.09% from other races, and 2.96% from two or more races. 85.03% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 415 households out of which 68.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.0% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 7.0% were non-families. 5.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 1.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.83 and the average family size was 3.96.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 40.2% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 32.8% from 25 to 44, 14.6% from 45 to 64, and 4.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 27 years. For every 100 females there were 104.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.2 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $32,431, and the median income for a family was $33,171. Males had a median income of $30,263 versus $24,063 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $10,850. About 13.9% of families and 12.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 12.7% of those under age 18 and 15.4% of those age 65 or over.
