Rio Rico Northeast is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Cruz County, Arizona, United States. The population was 3,164 at the 2000 census.

Rio Rico Northeast is located at 31°31′37″N, 110°58′43″W (31.526941, -110.978729)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 31.6 square miles (81.8 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 3,164 people, 1,013 households, and 836 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 100.2 people per square mile (38.7/km²). There were 1,099 housing units at an average density of 34.8/sq mi (13.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 70.10% White, 0.35% Black or African American, 0.88% Native American, 1.45% Asian, 0.19% Pacific Islander, 23.74% from other races, and 3.29% from two or more races. 67.13% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 1,013 households out of which 48.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.4% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.4% were non-families. 14.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.12 and the average family size was 3.47.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 34.3% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 31.1% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 96.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.8 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $50,980, and the median income for a family was $52,712. Males had a median income of $41,283 versus $23,393 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $17,567. About 4.7% of families and 7.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.7% of those under age 18 and 13.3% of those age 65 or over.
