The Rio Grande Valley Silverados are a franchise of the Continental Basketball Association which began play on November 17, 2007 based in McAllen, Texas. [1] They play their home games at the McAllen Convention Center, which opened in March of 2007. They were originally going to play in the American Basketball Association before choosing to go into the CBA.
