The word "Shocking" in the first paragraph discussing the VMA's performance is an entirely subjective word, in the context of a neutral article about the song, and should not be used.

[edit] 'Ring the Alarm' is not No.1 on the Hot 100

She's No.11 this week... Why does it say she's No.1 on here?

[edit] reggae track?

That is Tenor Saw's Ring the Alarm, it's considered a classic... might even deserve its own article. number29(Talk) 11:01, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

It absolutely deserves its own article, specifically this article. Beyonce named her 'Ring The Alarm' after the real one. She isn't the only person to draw upon the reggae original for inspiration - she isn't even the only person to draw upon it for inspiration and name their song after the original. There are 'Ring The Alarm' tracks by Philly's Most Wanted and the Fu-Schnickens as well. Making this article point to one of several songs inspired by the original, instead of pointing it to the original, is just completely horrible and wrong. I'd fix it myself but I have no idea how the page naming / linking system works. But I absolutely feel very strongly that it's disrespectful to everyone who ever showed respect to the original - including ironically Beyonce herself - for the phrase to be pointing to one of several remakes, when it should point to the classic. 75.50.160.41 (talk) 03:09, 19 April 2008 (UTC) giles bowkett

[edit] Clean version?

I have yet to see a clean version of this song...can somebody told me where they saw it? Otherwise I'll remove it. Jgcarter 21:12, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Amsterdam vs. Germany

The Tranzformas Remix feat. fellow label mate Collie Buddz, was charted in Amsterdam and Germany.

Amsterdam is a city while Germany is a country, it would make more sense to change it to 'The Tranzformas Remix feat. fellow label mate Collie Buddz, was charted in the Netherlands and Germany.' Allthecoolnamesweretaken (talk) 16:14, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GA Review

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written:
Pass The prose is near professional. Very well done.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable:
Pass Numerous sources, all correctly formatted.
  3. It is broad in its coverage:
    Pass very broad.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy:
Pass Though I would suggest that in the "Artwork Controversy" section that Beyonce's responses or any information from her side be stated, to give two sides to the argument.
I was thinking of that also but I cant find any response about it. You know, even her relationship with Jay-Z has minimal sources. She is not fond of replying to issues that much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Efe (talkcontribs) 01:07, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
  5. It is stable:
    Pass No problems there.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate:
Pass I would recommend that the "track listing" and "credits" sections be organized into charts.
  7. Overall:
Pass Very well done! -Ed! (talk) 15:10, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
