Ringsted is a city in Ringsted municipality located in the middle of the Danish island of Zealand. The population is 19,492 as of 2007. Ringsted has a high percentage of immigrants on a Danish scale, mostly from Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine and Turkey.

Ringsted is located approximately 60 km from Copenhagen.

Ringsted was the site of Sjællands landsting.

In 1137, Canute Lavard was killed in Haraldsted forest, leading to outbreaks of civil war.
