"邪 (Yokoshima evil?)" is the cover band of Toto organized by Shina Ringo. She formed this band to play "Georgy Porgy". Because Numazawa Takashi who was the session drummer of "Utaite Myouri ~Sono Ichi~" was acquainted with the drummer of Toto, Jeff Porcaro, she hit on this idea. Numazawa learned how to drum by Joe Porcaro who was Jeff’s father, and he worked in his drum school as an instructor after graduation. Then, he participated in tours of Chaka Khan, Bobby Womack and others as a member of their backing band.

Though Shiina Ringo was going to sing all the parts of this song at first, Ukigumo sang the main part after all. It was because he resembled Steve Lukather, the vocalist of Toto, in a voice that she didn't sing. She didn't know whether it was caused by the woman's voice or not, but she felt that her voice didn’t match this song enough. He sang this song to a car stereo in her car at that time, and, she noticed that his voice was suitable for this.

[edit] Notes

  1. ^ Though the kanji 大人 is normally read Otona, Ringo gives the furigana reading as the katakana word Adaruto, or Adult, above the word, indicating the exclusion of the Otona reading. She often does this in her lyrics, perhaps to help her Japanese listeners understand a difficult or uncommon foreign-language word by giving them the Japanese kanji as well underneath it which they can more easily understand. The title of this album is only read and pronounced Adaruto, or simply Adult--there is no Otona reading anywhere.
