[edit] Rikku as influenced by Ganguro

FFX was released in 2001, a year after the Ganguro trend peaked; is it safe to draw comparisons between her portrayal with crazy blonde hair, tanned skin, bright clothing and weird hairbeads and the popular (and exotic) Japanese pop trend? -Jackmont Nov 13, 2006

[edit] Editing of Rikku

JarlaxleArtemis: Personally, I liked my big Hi-Res image of Rikku better than the little one.

That's why the ability to click on the thumbnail exists. The full picture is too large to fit in the article. Oh, and would you be so kind as to add a copyright tag to the image? --Slowking Man 10:10, Jan 1, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Article on Paine

JarlaxleArtemis 02:10, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC) Can someone create an article for Paine?

All right, I started a stub; to start an article yourself, just link something [[ ]] and then click on the red link that results. Or you can just type the title you want into the URL and work from there. Everyking 02:19, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wrong Japanese voice actor...

f3rd1:

In http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rikku , it's written...

"She was voiced in English by voice actor Tara Strong, in Japanese by Koda Kumi."

Actually, Japanese version of Rikku is voice-actored by Marika Matsumoto...

[ Right info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_X ]

But I'm not sure how to edit the page... -_-;

In Final Fantasy X, Rikku clearly harbours a strong crush on Tidus, while at the same time is clearly enamored of Lulu. Throughout the game, there are also hints that she is attracted to Auron (despite age difference), Wakka (despite racial strife), Kimahri (despite being of different species), and Yuna (despite being first cousins).

i am skeptical of this part, pretty much from the lulu accuasion onward. can somebody support this or does it need to be just erased?

Erase it I say!- from me RikkuFan925

I don't think Rikku is really atracted for all those people, I think she is just kind and, like, with a "teenager behavior". She is clearly attracted for Tidus and Yuna (but for yuna maybe is just fraternal love) and Paine. I think Square-Enix just make her a little lesbic for accentuate her sex symbol status. And she looks a lot more lesbic in FFX-2 than in FFX.

I personally believe that simply because she hugs Yuna in X does NOT make her lesbian -- if someone hugs their cousin, would you say they are attracted towards each other? Her FFX-2 hotsprings cutscene was undoubtly fanservice. Observation 14:53, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

It's just like the Turks article where it says Tseng rapes Yuffie and Tifa in FFVII:AC.

Em, no. Rikku isn't hinted lesbian at all... The thing with Tidus is more like a brother-sister thing not a crush —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.0.66.5 (talk) 15:45, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Concerning the newly-added sentence...

She actively encouraged the relationship between Tidus and Yuna, despite occasionally having flirted with Tidus.

This sentence, which I edited slightly, was lastly added to the article. However, as I've not played FFX in a while, I'm not quite certain of its accuracy. Anyone? Laogeodritt 23:01, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Restoration

It looks like someone defaced the article with the text:

Wheeeeeee~ :3

>_><_<

Meanwhile removing the whole biography. If there are any edits that have been lost it might be an idea to restore them now. --MimiSard 13:03, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rikku/Huggo?

Okay, this may sound weird, but given that she is Al Bhed, and that the Al Bhed language has an alphabet of it's own, how come she is never called Huggo by her Al Bhed kin, if her "real" name is Rikku? Hecko 14:09, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

In the Al Bhed language (technically a cipher), proper names are NEVER converted. Therefore, "Al Bhed" is "Al Bhed" in Al Bhed, not "Ym Prat"; "Besaid" is "Besaid" not "Pacyet", and so on.
Otherwise, there is also the fact that with real-life languages, you usually don't translate the name. If someone's name is "Guillaume", you won't call him "William" will you (or vice versa)? Nor will you call a man named "Pierre" as "Peter", would you? -Laogeodritt [ Talk | Contribs ] 20:58, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image

An image of her in 1st outfit (that Al-bhed style body suit) is needed... Lego3400: The Sage of Time 00:22, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "The ending of this game"

From the article:

In the ending of this game, the ending trailer shows Rikku and the other two show up to steal SeaSalt Icecream from Yuffie Kisaragi, hommage to her thief class in both games.

which game is "this game?" this should be clarified.
