Rihla

A Rihla is a Classical Arabic term of a journey, with connotations of a journey undertaken for the sake of divine knowledge of Islam. It is a form of travel literature.

One of the most famous examples of this genre is the Rihla of Ibn Battuta, which recounts the journey of the 14th-century Moroccan scholar and traveler Ibn Battuta.
