Rigoberto Romero Carmona (September 22, 1940, Pinar del Río, CubaAugust 25, 1991, Havana, Cuba) was a Cuban photographer.

In 1982 he did the exhibition "El patio de mi casa no es particular"´. Premio de Fotografía Cubana . Galería 10 de Octubre, Havana, Cuba. In this year presented "Dos fotógrafos cubanos"[Iván Cañas/Rigoberto Romero]. Asociación de Amistad Cuba Finlandia, Helsinki, Finlandia. Six years laters he achieves his show "Con sudor de millonario". [Casa de la Amistad Cubano Finlandesa], Helsinki, Finlandia. And in 1992 he presented "Direct from Cuba" [José A. Figueroa/Rigoberto Romero/Mario Díaz]. Raleigh Studios, Hollywood, California, U.S.A.

He also formed part of many collective exhibitions:In 1986 he participated in the Secound Bienal de La Habana. Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba. In 1991 was included at the "Fotografía Cubana Contemporánea en 150 Imágenes". Taller Internacional de la Imagen Fotográfica [collateral a la Cuarta Bienal de La Habana. Centro de Prensa Internacional, Havana, Cuba. And in 1998 was one of the selected artists for "Cuba: 100 años de fotografía". Casa de América, Madrid, Spain.

He obtained many awards during his life , among them we can quote in 1976 the Mention in the VI Salón Nacional de Fotografía. Unión de Periodistas de Cuba (UPEC), Havana, Cuba. Five years laters he gained the Prize (collective). Premio de Fotografía Contemporánea Latinoamericana y del Caribe, Galería Latinoamericana, Casa de las Américas, Havana, Cuba. And in 1982 he was awarded with the Mention of Photography. Salón de Artes Plásticas UNEAC’82, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba, 1982.
