These pages need to be slightly renamed. These deal with AFRICAN Rift Valley lakes. There are other rift valleys in the world besides that in eastern Africa and southwestern Asia. And, these other rift valleys often contain lakes. A "rift valley lake" is any lake within a rift valley and does not denote location in Africa. The use of generalized terms for specific ones (and vice-versa) is a HUGE problem in the article naming scheme that is currently Wikipedia. Contributors--whether professionals, laypeople, editors, etc.--need to be much more conscientious about this issue. 71.210.81.5220:18, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Chemist470
