Riemschneider thiocarbamate synthesis

The Riemschneider thiocarbamate synthesis produces aromatic thiocarbamates starting with the corresponding aromatic thiocyanate.[1][2]
The thiocyanate is treated with sulfuric acid and then hydrolyzed with ice water.[3]
The reaction was discovered by the German chemist Randolph Riemschneider.
