Riells is a quarter from L'Escala, Catalonia between Montgó and el Poble Sec. It's the bigger quarter from l'Escala.
The name "Riells" comes from four streams that go in the undergrounds. In the 60s years Riells was even a little wood with a little lake between Montgó (that was much more little that today) and el Poble Sec. In the 70-80s years begin the construction from houses and in the 90-2000s begin the construction from streets.
