RHS is a school which supports its finer arts and programs (examples of the latter including masonry, culinary arts, and HVAC). The fine arts at RHS are among best in Clay County; the Band received a rating of "Superior" at the State Concert Music Performance Assessment in 2007; it was one of only 26 schools statewide to receive the rating. In addition to its band, the school is home to one of the largest drama troupes in the state of Florida, Troupe 5709. In Spring 2007 they performed A Servant of Two Masters on the mainstage at the State Thespian Festival in Tampa, one of only eight plays in the state selected annually.
