Ridgeland Township is located in Iroquois County, Illinois. The population was 403 at the 2000 census. Ridgeland Township formed as Ridge Township from Onarga Township on January 29, 1879, but changed its name to Ridgeland on an unknown date.

Ridgeland Township covers an area of 26.94 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Thawville. According to the USGS, it contains one cemetery, Thawville.
