Ridgefield Memorial High School is a comprehensive, four-year public high school located in Ridgefield, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Ridgefield School District.

As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 677 students and 57.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 11.8.[1]

Ridgefield Memorial High School was the 97th-ranked public high school in New Jersey out of 316 schools statewide, in New Jersey Monthly magazine's September 2006 cover story on the state's Top Public High Schools.[2]

[edit] Extracurricular activities

The school mascot is the Royals. The school colors are Blue and White. Ridgefield Memorial High School participates in the Bergen County Scholastic League (BCSL) Olympic Division and is categorized by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) in North II, Group I.

This year is the second year the robotics team, known as P=I2*Rates (Pirates.)

Their publications are The Crown monthly newspaper and Serendipity literary and arts magazine.

The Academic Decathalon has consistently gone to the state competition and has received numerous awards and medals.

The Ridgefield Choirs have consistently placed the most students in Bergen County and Northern New Jersey Region Choir for the past five years. They have averaged 17 students in the New Jersey All State Chorus in that time and sent four students to last MENC All Eastern Chorus.

The Marching Royals Marching Band has won numerous 1st place awards in its marching band history since 1988. It is the largest group one marching band in the state.
