The Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance is a school of dance located in Ridgefield, Connecticut, primarily providing programs in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop.
It is home to two pre-professional performance companies:
- The Ridgefield Civic Ballet
- The Contemporary Dance Ensemble.
Also, the professional contemporary dance company, Bare Bones Dance Project, is the official company in residence. The Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance was founded as the Ridgefield Studio of Classical Ballet in 1965 by Patricia Schuster. In 2002 it became the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
