[edit] Yes?

What did you want? – ABCDe 01:07, 15 February 2006 (UTC) That was quick. Anyway Jimbo's 40th birthday is kind of in 6 months. I was wondering if we (us both and other wikipedians) could do something of a suprise celebration for Jimbo. Richardkselby 01:11, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello...

Hi :) I see you're a relatively new (active) user (although you've had an account for about 6 months). Welcome — Ilyanep (Talk) 04:23, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reply to your comment at Wikipedia:Userbox_policy_poll#Oppose

I look forward to your response. 07:14, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Well - this:

# Super strong oppose we cannot let this stupidity continue. our user pages are practically sacred. we have no porno or nazi simbols or things like that. User boxes are our way to express ourselves. Richardkselby 05:13, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Please clarify what stupidity you are referring to (there's so much, in this whole issue... ;-) ). This proposal is specifically designed to allow free expression, including user boxes, on user pages, please clarify what you object to regarding this proposal. Thanks! [edit] News

This is important. I am an official Natasha Bedingfield fan. (I'm listening to unwritten right now. LOL {I seriously am}.)

[edit] Wikipedia_talk:Censorship

A watered-down version of the proposed policy against censorship is now open for voting. Will you kindly review the policy and make your opinions known? Thank you very much.Loom91 17:58, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Humza Javaid

It does not meet the criteria for an article on wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Deletion of vanity articles. Is there anything about Humza Javaid that would make him important enough to make an article about him? If there is then put it in there, if not then there is no reason for it to be on here. -PiMaster3 20:56, 21 April 2006 (UTC) If there is something that would make him the least bit important. I didn't delete it, the moderator did, I just suggested that it should be deleted.

[edit] Beer FAC nomination

Hi Richard. Thanks for the nomination. I couldn't support it as I'm aware of how much work still needs to be done - but thanks for the interest. Cheers! SilkTork 12:30, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Yep. I love wine. Just got back from a week in Provence. Hic - burp! SilkTork 20:14, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Or perhaps just a WikiProject: Getting drunk! SilkTork 07:30, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] hi

(Copied from User talk:Peruvianllama:) oh, that was on accident

I don't have any idea what you're talking about.. but if it was an accident, then I'm sure all is forgiven. :) --PeruvianLlama(spit) 22:58, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FAC: Sesame Street

You recently commented on my FAC for Sesame Street, which failed because I acted to slowly on it. Do you still support the FAC? -- Zanimum 19:44, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ITN

Instead of being passive aggressive, you could perhaps have nominated the Uruguay election on the In the news Candidates page. Not all of us keep up with every election and it may have passed us by. --Golbez 23:43, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

So you were making a point about nothing at all? I think that's called trolling. Also, please leave talk messages at the bottom, not the top. --Golbez 23:50, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
I agree. More people care about Steve Irwin than a non-existent election. --Golbez 23:55, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
This may come as a shock to you, but Wikipedia is not centered on Maryland. --Golbez 00:00, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Funny, I thought Australia spoke English too. --Golbez 00:04, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, that's possibly one of the more immature things I've ever read. --Golbez 00:22, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Atlantic Records

<<unblock|the term "vandalism account" is too vague. -Richardkselby NOTE: Richard asked me to put in a good word: it looks like user was longtime positive contributor, and had a momentary collapse, but really only on one occasion. User appears remorseful, says he will stop. A short ban would have been more appopriate and in line with precedent, IMHO. -Patstuart>>

pat, how do you archive your page? Richardkselby 00:26, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

It's not too hard; you just create a page under your user, usually something like User:Richardkselby/Archive 1, then make a link under your page to that archive. You can see my talk page to see how to make the link with the box and everything. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 00:28, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

In case you can't do that because you're blocked, I'll create the empty page for you. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 00:28, 25 October 2006 (UTC) thanks, are you an admin? Richardkselby 00:43, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Nope, sorry chief. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 00:47, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

awww, i NEED admins on my side to get my account back. do you know some ? Richardkselby 00:49, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

No, but I'll put in a word for you on the page. But PLEASE before I do so, assure me you will not vandalize any articles again, even if the once you did it was just a momentary spree. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 00:52, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

that was just a spur of the moment. I did not think. I didn'i know that you could be bloicked indefinately. TYhere should be a better punishing system. Like terms such as a week or 3 weeks. I do think that that guy who blocked me should have, but the punishing system needs to be reformed. Richardkselby 00:57, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

OK. Wikipedia does want everyone who aspires to be a constructive contributor. I'll put in a word, but please understand why vandalism isn't tolerated. Please be constructive in your edits. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 01:00, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

THANK YOU PAT STUART!!!!!!!! Richardkselby 01:10, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Yup. There is quite an administrative [backlog] at the moment, though, so it might take a while. Even then, I can't promise anything, but the admins will probably unblock you. Good luck. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 01:20, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, lets wait and see. wait, How do you allways know when I edited my page? Richardkselby 01:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC) what's a backlog?

At the top of the screen, there's a link called "My Watchlist"; it keeps track of all the pages you've edited. When I click on it, your talk page only shows up after you've made an edit. I check the page regularly. A backlog just means there's a lot of work stored up for the admins to do, so it takes them longer than normal to get to any specific task.-Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 01:33, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

well, I should be an admin. Richardkselby 01:36, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Hello Richard. Your account has been unblocked. Please do not vandalize any more.  :-) Can't sleep, clown will eat me 01:40, 25 October 2006 (UTC) its still blocked. Richardkselby 01:41, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Try clearing your cache, then reloading the page. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 01:46, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

what's that?

That's difficult ot explain. It would just be easier if you would close down your browser, log back in, and go to a page on Wikipedia you've never been to before. Special:Random. Everything should be fine after that; if not, I can't help you, Can't Sleep Clown will have to. Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 01:50, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
If you are still blocked after restarting your web browser, please paste the complete details of the block message on your talk page, including the IP address, and I will see about clearing that as well (if necessary). Thanks, Can't sleep, clown will eat me 08:13, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Name

Remember, Remember,
The Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot.
I know of no reason,
Why the Gunpowder Treason,
Should ever be forgot.

It is really simple. You just go to "my preferences" and add the image under signature (I suggest an image size of around 25-30px). Experiment with it until you find a signature you like.

Cheerio. - JustPhil 00:36, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just a reminder and a tip

Hi regarding your edit to current events. First it's best practice to add new content to a talk page at the bottom, otherwise it will most probably be ignored. (I've moved it for you). Secondly, the Current events portal and associated pages are where we list news on a daily basis with a link to background articles. This is an encyclopedia not a newspaper. If you want to report news try Wikinews. --Monotonehell 06:23, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar

Thank you very much for the barnstar! Tra (Talk) 23:15, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations!

Congratulations on your recent adoption, Richardkselby, and welcome to Wikipedia! I saw that you have expressed an interest in being adopted by an experienced editor. Being an experienced editor myself, I accepted your request. Whether you want to learn about wiki markup, find something to do, or just talk to somebody, I'm the person to see about it - just leave a message on my talk page. Remember, I am willing to help you and make your time here more enjoyable. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have, and remember to "be BOLD!"- I'm here to help you; no question is a stupid one. In the mean time, here are some pages that you might find helpful, in case you haven't already gotten the official welcoming:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome and congratulations!

[edit] Shout out

Thanks again for all the assists on Benazir Bhutto, you made my user page, and my day! Edit Centric (talk) 03:58, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gracias!

Thanks for your notice, and thanks for your work on the Bhutto assassination pages as well -- it's hard work to keep current events pages up-to-date, and your perseverance is much appreciated! Ashdog137 (talk) 04:27, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
