[edit] This article is a mess

The major problem is that huge section in the middle with long quotes from Dyer's biography of Turner bearing on culpability of Turner for Pearl Harbor. Good grief. That whole section could be summarized, probably by one paragraph, and the rest referenced.

Then after dwelling on Pearl Harbor for hundreds of lines, the rest of the war, particularly after Guadalcanal, is given very brief coverage. I mean, sure Pearl Harbor was important, but come on, there was a lot of war after that.

I wish I had time to clean it up, but I don't. But it clearly needs work. Bigmac31 23:40, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
