Scott doesn't go into it on his excellent RTTF website, but the Belvidere Toll Plaza (northernmost) was located at the bottom of a long southbound grade, and was the scene of many collisions, especially involving trucks. I believe fatalities included toll attendants. Petersburg had a similar but lesser probelm northbound. Vaoverland 22:20, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
