Talk:Richard Avery Hornsby
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It might read like a STORY, because it is a STORY. It is the factually correct - not to mention historically correct - STORY of Captain Richard Avery Hornsby. I have researched and re-researched each and every FACT mentioned. It is as correct as it will ever be. Seahamlass 20:28, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- But Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, so the style should be neither a story nor random facts, but the style of an encyclopedia article; a clear, simple summary of the important information. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:33, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, that's what is being debated at AfD. We can't seem to find any sources to verify the accuracy of this story; you could be really helpful by pointing us in the direction of your source of information. I assume it's all in that book you cite; can you scan the relevant pages so we can read it? Or is there information about him elsewhere on the web? It won't be deleted if it's true but written in an inappropriate style; only if we can't verify that it's true. As for all the rest of the crap and untruths... I'm working as hard as I can, but with 2 million articles, I haven't been able to review them all yet. I'd be glad to have some help, if you're interested. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:45, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
