I think this article is anachronistic. RAWA began posting his comments long before the URU universe took shape, and was from the beginning seen as an actual person. Eventually RAWA was incorporated into the URU storyline as a fictional character. This is a trick to consciously blur the line between reality and fiction, and this article swallows this trick hook bait and tackle, landing in an in-universe explanation. RAWA was the pseudonym for a real programmer, who was later turned into a fictional character. Today RAWA the D'ni visitor and RAWA the Cyan collaborator are intertwined, but Wikipedia shouldn't play along with such an obvious con.

The Miller brothers are similarly described in the bookleet to URU as people having visited D'ni and written games (Myst and URU) relating to their experience. These are clearly two fictional characters and their actions should not be confused with the actual Miller brothers, who did indeed write Myst and Riven but never went to an underground city on earth called Uru.
