Ricky Ulric Shakes (born January 25, 1985 in Brixton, England) is a football player who plays as a right winger. He is currently without a club.

He initially played with the training academy of Charlton Athletic F.C. before moving to Bolton Wanderers.

Shakes made his debut in the FA Cup third-round replay against Tranmere Rovers F.C. on January 13, 2004 as a substitute for Stelios Giannakopoulos. He scored a dramatic last-minute equalizer in the match and it was courtesy of his goal that the match entered extra time. However, his efforts were to be nullified in the first minute of extra time by a goal from Tranmere's Edinburgh-born Canadian striker Iain Hume.

On March 24, 2005, he was loaned to Bury F.C. along with Danny Boshell. Bolton released Shakes at the end of the 2004/05 season but was quickly signed by Swindon Town alongside side fellow Bolton youngster Charlie Comyn-Platt. Shakes had a mixed first season at Swindon, sometimes impressing with his performances and sometimes frustrating after missing chances in vital matches.

The highlight of Shakes' 2005/06 season was breaking into the Trinidad set-up. Shakes earned his first cap for the small nation as a half-time sub in the 2-0 win over Iceland at Loftus Road. Despite making a decent account of himself, Shakes failed to make Leo Beenhakker's final 23-man squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup but was put on stand-by for the Soca Warriors.

On July 3, 2007 it was reported that Shakes was on the verge of signing for Football League Two team Brentford[1]. He eventually signed for Brentford on August 31, 2007. Shakes scored the winner on his Brentford debut to seal a 2-1 away win against Bury. Shakes was released from the club in May 2008.
