Richard Bryan "Ricky" Newman (born 5 August 1970 in Guildford) is a professional footballer.
He is a tough tacking defensive midfielder, whose career has spanned over 13 years, having started with Crystal Palace in 1992. He played for Palace until 1995 when he joined Millwall where he stayed until 1999 when he left for Reading. He moved to Brentford in 2005.
Brentford released Newman on 17 May 2006 and he currently plays for Aldershot Town.
