Rick Zolzer

Rick Zolzer is an American former public address announcer for the New Jersey Nets of the National Basketball Association. After three seasons of serving as Continental Airlines Arena voice for the Nets, he was fired in June of 2004.[1] During his 3 seasons as public address announcer for the Nets, New Jersey won back-to-back Eastern Conference titles in 2002 & 2003, as well as reaching the second round of the NBA Playoffs in 2004. Zolzer is the current public address voice for both baseball's Hudson Valley Renegades [2] and at the United States Military Academy's Michie Stadium for Army's five home games in 2007.[3] Rick Zolzer is currently in negotiations with Army to return next season. He is also currently the Executive Director of the Renegades Pitch for Kids Fund and a huge fan of Earth, Wind, & Fire.[citation needed] Rick Zolzer is known to have hit a pitch from former NY Yankee's pitcher Joe Assanio that was clocked at a whopping 101 MPH.
