Richard Lamar Tuten (born January 5, 1965 in Perry, Florida) is a former American football punter in the National Football League who played the majority of his career with the Seattle Seahawks. He punted the ball 108 times in 1992, tied for third-most in a season in NFL history.[1] In 1992, he punted for 4,760 yards with an average of 44.1 yards per punt. In 1994, the year he went to his first and only Pro Bowl, he punted the ball 91 times for 3,905 yards, an average of 42.9 yards per punt and also scored a 2-pt. conversion, the only scored points of his career. Tuten also received a ring as a member of the St. Louis Rams' Super Bowl XXXIV championship team. However, he did not play in the game itself due to injury.

On June 21, 2007, Tuten was arrested in Ocala and charged with dealing in stolen property. He allegedly made a deal to buy stolen televisions from a police informant. During a taped conversation with the informant for the Marion County Sheriffs Office, Tuten said, "I don't know anything about anything" after being told the televisions were stolen.[2]
