Rick Downes

Rick Downes is a former Kingston, Ontario city councillor. In 2006 he ran for the office of mayor of Kingston where he was backed by the Kingston & District Labour Council.[1] He came second in the 2006 election losing by a margin of 730 votes to Harvey Rosen. [2] He ran in the 2007 Ontario general election in the riding of Kingston and the Islands, representing the New Democratic Party

Downes is currently suing Mayor Rosen for conflict of interest. The court date has been set for July 10, 2008.
