Richard Alan Bosetti (born August 5, 1953 in Redding, California) was a Major League Baseball player from 1976 to 1982 for the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Oakland Athletics. He was an outfielder. In 1979, he played in all 162 games for the Blue Jays. Later he returned to Redding and became involved in local business and politics. In 2006, he was elected to the Redding City council."Bosetti averaged .250 at the plate but a perfect 1.000 at the warning track; he claimed to have urinated on every major league outfield. Then he retired at 28, saying, “I’m realistic enough to know I’m in the twilight of a mediocre career.” Oakland A’s fans immediately formed a Bosetti fan club.
