Richthofen Trial

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Richthofen Trial was the trial of Suzane von Richthofen, her boyfriend Daniel Cravinhos, and his brother Cristian Cravinhos for the bludgeoning deaths of von Richthofen's parents, Manfred and Marisia von Richthofen, in their home in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Though the murders happened in October 2002, the trial did not occur until July 2006. The case and trial were notorious throughout Brazil because of the dramatic, soap operaesque nature of the murder, the defendants, and the proceedings.

It is of some note that Manfred von Richthofen was the grand-nephew of the World War I German pilot Baron Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron.
