The Richmond County School System (RCSS) is a public school district, run by the Richmond County Board of Education, which serves the city of Augusta, Georgia and the surrounding areas of Richmond County. Currently, the system has an active enrollment of 32,922 students, attending a total of 56 schools: 36 elementary schools, 10 middle schools, 8 high schools, 4 magnet schools, and 3 other schools.[1]
The Richmond County School District is in its third phase of an extensive constructive program that will renovate older schools and add new schools, particular for its magnet program.
